GLOW - ENERGY NESTED BIO SYSTEM FLOWS-FROM THE HOME TO THE HUB is a research project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council [EP/V041770/1]. The purpose of this project is to learn how energy is used in homes in Glasgow and Bristol to develop a transformative equitable neighbourhood energy management system approach. Inspired by insights found in group/collective behaviour theories and social insect communication, the new approach will identify and communicate collective energy needs in the context of domestic energy demand response scenarios, such as those needed for smart grid operation in the electrification transition.
